Lately I’ve been contemplating what we mean when we use the term ‘workable’ and after hearing this part of Pema’s talk I am reminded that to allow our minds to remain open, our hearts tender to what ever is arising in our lives..to simply stay present with it without ‘fixing’ allows it to be workable.
This workable space is a gap in the struggle between this and that…phew., it’s a relief to interrupt the manipulating reasoning mind…give ourselves a break. It seems that this is where the possibility of spontaneous insight may be able to arise. This reservoir of trust that never runs dry.

Following on Lynn’s comment, I’d say that recognizing the ‘workability’ (or fluidity) of everything we experience and trusting our innate wisdom go hand in hand.
